It seems so many of us seniors ride in carts while playing, the concentration is easily broken after a shot and we get back into the cart with our playing partner. That time between shots is usually spent bitching about how bad the last shot was or something else less important. I guess I need to find different playing partners.

PAR 18
Karl, thanks for the video tips.

This is a very effective practice drill with a purpose & competing with consequences against your own scores, every shot counts (just like in the real game) this really helps sharpen the short game brilliant.

I had a short game lesson before starting this regular drill;got all my routines in order and I keep a scorecard diary, it has certainly helped me in my scoring.

PAR 18 - a simple but great idea, the best ones always are = K.I.S.S :-)

Regards

With a golf swing, it's a case of learning each fundamental move slowly (one move at a time) and then learning to put them all together as another separate 'move'.

One problem is that people are often too impatient and try to integrate a fundamental move straight into the swing after practising it, creating that interference pattern.

The other problem I see is speed - golfers trying to learn by swinging at full speed will be (naturally) making mistakes and coding them in memory. It's like learning to drive a car and then expecting to be able to race a Grand Prix. Concentrate on getting the move and let the speed come later.

Cheers
